Author Guidelines

Before you submit

• The work must be original, not previously published, and not under review elsewhere.
• All listed authors must have agreed to the submission.
• You need a free account — sign in with your email, Google, or Microsoft account. New authors are registered automatically.

Manuscript format

• File type: PDF or Word (.pdf, .docx), up to 25 MB.
• Structure: title, abstract, keywords, introduction, methods, results, discussion, conclusion, and references.
• Abstract: a concise summary (roughly 150–300 words).
• References: any consistent, widely used style is accepted (e.g. APA, IEEE, Vancouver).
• Figures & tables: embedded in the manuscript file, with captions.

Metadata you'll provide at submission

• Title and article type (Article, Review, or Communication).
• Abstract and keywords.
• Subject area.
• Full author list with affiliations and ORCID iDs, marking the corresponding author.

The submission process

1. Upload your manuscript and complete the metadata on the submission page. You can save a draft and finish later.
2. An editor first checks that your manuscript fits the journal, then sends it to a panel of AI reviewers, which produces structured reports. Learn more about how peer review works.
3. The Editor-in-Chief reviews the reports and makes a decision: accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject.
4. You'll be notified by email and can track the status of every submission from your dashboard.
5. Accepted articles are published in an issue with a DOI and a permanent public page.

Drafts

Unsubmitted drafts are kept for 60 days. A draft that goes 60 days without any update is automatically deleted — a countdown is shown on your dashboard. Submitting or editing a draft resets the timer.

Article Processing Charge

Journal of Physics Process is fully open access — there is no charge to readers and no fee to submit a manuscript. The standard Article Processing Charge (APC) is $1,000 USD, applied only once a manuscript has been accepted; nothing is charged before or during review.

The APC covers editorial handling, the AI-assisted peer review panel, typesetting, DOI assignment, and permanent open-access hosting. Authors whose institutions cannot cover the fee may request a waiver by contacting the editorial office.
